How Will My Order Ship?

Furniture Discovery offers free ground shipping to your door in the continental US for orders over $99, with an additional charge to Hawaii, Alaska and US territories.  If there is a shipping charge for a specific product, it will clearly state so in the product description.

There are additional shipping options for most products, so please refer to the product page to determine the option that you want.

Delivery Options

Furniture Discovery has established strong relationships with excellent nationwide delivery companies to ship your order in the most reliable, safest and fastest way possible. As soon as your order ships, we will notify you by e-mail. You will receive your tracking number for your shipment, shipping company contact information and what you should do when you receive the shipment.

You should track your package online or by contacting the carrier. Most companies provide an estimated delivery date. If there is any issue with your shipment, contact us as soon as possible. You can also track your order via My Account. Please note that we cannot ship to PO Boxes or Military APOs.

We have several methods of shipment available:

1. Small Parcel

Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via UPS, FEDEX or USPS. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping available for many items we sell. Your product will arrive between 2 and 6 business days after it leaves the warehouse.

2. Truck Delivery

The delivery truck will park in front of your home, and unload the product near curbside or tailgate. You are responsible for moving the product inside the house. If you are ordering a large item, please note that you may need a couple of people to help carry it inside.

Most truck delivery companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we e-mail you your tracking information, you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. It is your responsibility to pay the truck freight carrier directly for any additional services.

The estimated delivery time for truck deliveries is 3-9 business days, depending on your location.

It is your responsibility to inspect the delivery when it arrives.  If the box is damaged or you have a concern with the packaging or delivery, please write Product Damaged clearly on the sheet the delivery person asks you to sign.  This ensures that if there is any damage to your purchase, it will make it easier to resolve the problem.

3. White Glove Bronze Freight (Inside Delivery)

A two man team will bring the item inside the threshold of your residence. If you live in a home with a garage, the product will be left in your garage. If you do not have a garage, the product will be left in your front entrance. The product will not be carried upstairs. If you live in an apartment above the first floor of a building, the product will be carried up to two (2) flights prior to the threshold.

The product will be left in the original packaging.  The estimated delivery time for this option is between 1 and 4 weeks, depending on your location.

It is your responsibility to inspect the delivery when it arrives.  If the box is damaged or you have a concern with the packaging or delivery, please write Product Damaged clearly on the sheet the delivery person asks you to sign.  This ensures that if there is any damage to your purchase, it will make it easier to resolve the problem.

4. White Glove Silver (Room of choice)

A two man team will bring the item inside your residence to the room of your choice. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.

The product will be left in the original packaging. The estimated delivery time for this option is between 1 and 4 weeks, depending on your location.

5. White Glove Platinum (Room of choice, unpack the product, and light setup)

A two man team will bring the item inside your residence to the room of your choice. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.

The shipper will unpack the product and provide light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other or on top of each other).

Ask the shipper to leave the packaging, in case you may want to return the product. We cannot accept any returns without the original packaging.

The estimated delivery time for this option is between 1 and 4 weeks, depending on your location.

*White Glove service must be ordered prior to the shipment of your product. This service does not include moving your existing furniture, wall décor, or rugs. Please make sure that the space where you want your furniture placed is cleared and ready for your new addition(s). White Glove service does not include: plumbing or installation of vanities, or provide wiring or installation of electrical components.

When Will My Order Arrive?

Products are shipped from various locations in the US, so it depends on where you live and the origin of the shipment as to when your order will arrive.  On each product page, there is an estimated lead time given.  This is the number of business days it takes to process and prepare your order for shipment.  Depending on the manufacturer, some warehouses stock items that can be shipped the same day the order is received or within 24 hours of receiving the order.  Other items may take from 2-4 weeks.

Small Parcel shipments usually take between 1 and 6 business days to be delivered.

Truck Freight shipments usually take 3 to 10 days for delivery. For residential deliveries, you will be contacted for an appointment as soon as your order arrives at the local terminal. For commercial deliveries, no appointment will be made. If you need to make an appointment, please contact us.

White Glove shipments usually take between 1 and 4 weeks from the time the shipments leaves the warehouse. Your order will be handled by a professional moving company which will handle your shipment with care. You will be contacted for a delivery appointment when your order reaches the delivery agent.  We require that your order undergoes a thorough inspection at the delivery agent before it is delivered to you.  It is part of our service to you to make sure that your order is in perfect condition when you receive it.

Tracking Your Package

To track your order, go to the Orders Status.  Click on the “Track Package” link. If you have multiple orders, choose the specific order that you would like tracked.  If the items have been shipped, the tracking information will be displayed on the page.

You will automatically receive a shipping confirmation by e-mail once your order has been shipped.  This e-mail from Furniture Discovery will have your tracking number, contact information for the shipping company and step-by-step instructions on how to accept your order when it arrives.

If you placed an order for multiple items, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail for each item you ordered. You will receive only one confirmation e-mail if you ordered a single item or multiple items from the same manufacturer.

You can also track your order in the My Account section by clicking the “Track Package” button in the Status section.

Shipping to Canada

Besides shipping to US locations, we ship our furniture to Canada.  We make our shipping painless and trouble free.  Shipping includes crossing the border, processing applicable duties and taxes and delivery to your home by one of our experienced shipping partners.

Canadian orders will incur additional charges which will be calculated as part of your order. Feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions.

Duties and Taxes

We are a registered non-resident importer in Canada. This allows us to simplify the purchasing process for our Canadian customers, reduce delays at the border, and prevent unexpected charges at the time of delivery. Taxes, duty and brokerage fees are paid at the time of purchase for all orders. The "International Fee" that we show in the shopping cart and throughout checkout covers the international shipping costs, duties, and brokerage fees. We will handle all the paperwork!

The following duties and taxes will be applied to all orders going to Canada:

Import Duty is 9%.
The Broker’s fee is a flat $95 to process all of the paperwork.
Shipping cost is additional $105 to the shipping method you selected during placing an order.
The Canadian tax based on the province you live in. Please see table below.

Shipping to Canada

Remote Areas and Special Services - some areas are designated as "remote" or require special services (e.g. ferry service) by our furniture delivery partners. Shipments to these areas are possible; however standard shipping rates will not apply. Upon review of your order, a Furniture Discovery representative will contact you if there will be additional delivery charges.
